Under Review - ACR and AK-47

Ok, these two assault rifles are among the most widely used AR choices in the game, and there is a number of reasons as to why this is. We will start with the ACR.

The ACR is an excellent rifle, both for someone who is newish to the game, or even those with experience under their belts. The recoil is negligible, and so is one of the single most accurate AR options that MW2 provides. The only real difficulty with this weapon is its damage is slightly reduced, meaning that stopping power pro is highly recommended, although not necessarily imperative. Another bonus is that the iron sights on this gun are just as good as any optical attachment, so you have room to move when it comes to attachments. If you do not have scavenger set up as your perk 1, extended mags may be a worthwhile option. I always enjoyed using extended mags and FMJ rounds with my ACR set up. This gun should generally be used for mid-long range combat, and will often come off second best against an SMG close range.

So overall, this gun is very much a worthwhile option, and worth keeping a class slot open for most of the time. Try all the attachments, and let us know what ACR set up you think is the best.

Now onto the AK47.
The AK is another fairly common AR to be found around the multiplayer rounds. It is personally one of the most comfortable guns to use in the game, and just feels fun to use. It does have recoil, however this is only visual (the gun comes back to rest before firing the next shot) for the first 3-4 shots, so burst firing this weapon will ensure excellent accuracy, from across all ranges close to long, however I would recommend this one for closer combat than the ACR for example. Often aiming at the chest of the enemy will result in headshots from the bounce of the rifle itself. In terms of attachments, once again I was more than happy to use the iron sights on this gun, and never really felt the need for any optical attachments on this weapon. But again, the choice is up to you. If you have any set ups that you prefer to use, just let us know.

The big restriction on this weapon however, is it is the last weapon unlock at level 70, and so if you intend on entering prestige on reaching level 70, then make sure you make the most of it while you can.

Once again, I highly recommend keeping a class slot for the AK47, and using it correctly can result in a significant amount of pwnage on your part.
